A reader asks

seriously, elisabeth, are you still trying to validate yourself? It's one thing to post this crap once. But over and over again you sound like a broken record now. I feel very bad for you as a person. You seem lonely.

Dear Reader,

We have a number of brand new candidates running for office during 2008, and Latte Republic search statistics tell me that a number of people are looking for information about the Public Disclosure Commission and the Hatch Act.

FYI: I also receive a number of e-mail each week requesting the information that you see posted here.

Postings, such as the one that you see today on the PDC, receive an average of 150 visits per day, or about 2,500 visits per month. During the last week, I have received 896 visits from across the state and nation on these two topics alone.

Perhaps you can take a "vacation" from my "blogs" while new candidates and campaign staff have an opportunity to access the information they are looking for.

By the way, there are a number of other political blogs listed on my community blogs list that can offer hours of entertainment for readers who are bored with the mechanics of setting up a campaign and/or wading through the maze of campaign laws.

Thank you for your comment!
