Larson Endorses Flanders for 42nd Legislative District, Position 1 Race

U.S. Congressman Rick Larsen Endorses Flanders for the State Legislature, 42nd District, Position One.

The Flanders Campaign is pleased to announce the endorsement of U.S. Congressman Rick Larsen.

"This endorsement means a lot to me because I have a lot of respect for Rick." said Flanders. "He represents the 2nd Congressional District in Washington D.C. and does and excellent job of balancing the contrasting views of his constituents and using his best judgement."

"He voted against the invasion of Iraq, and at the same time he has been an solid supporter of our troops. He worked hard, with Patty Murray, to get a Veterans hospital closer to Bellingham. Rick Larsen doesn't please everyone all of the time, but he has managed the near impossible in representing a district that doesn't agree with itself."

"My opponent in the 42nd District, in contrast, is a galvanizing paritsan in the minority Republican Caucus, agressively defending the flag of the GOP." said Flanders, "I don't think that's what we sent him to Olympia to do. I will represent all of the people of Whatcom county. I will get full funding for our schools and I will help preserve the small towns, agriculture, and the environment. Our corner of this great state is a special place, and I will help keep it that way."
